Today, it looks as though both of these dreams are getting closer to becoming a reality, as space agencies and the commercial space industry are deep into planning regular crewed missions to the Red Planet. These observations led to the most precise measurement yet of the black hole’s mass and revealed a never-before-seen star that orbits close to it. Using the ESO’s Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI), this team obtained the deepest and sharpest images to date of the region around Sag A*. This has been the goal of the GRAVITY collaboration, an international team of astronomers and astrophysicists that have been studying the core of the Milky Way for the past thirty years. Since then, scientists have been trying to get a better look at Sag A* and its surroundings to learn more about the role SMBHs play in the formation and evolution of our galaxy. This discovery was accompanied by the realization that SMBHs exist at the heart of most galaxies, which account for their energetic nature and the hypervelocity jets extending from their center.
However, Ceti IV was noted as a system with multiple water worlds.It all began with the discovery of Sagittarius A*, a persistent radio source located at the Galactic Center of the Milky Way that turned out to be a supermassive black hole (SMBH). Perhaps unrelated, the planet Ceti III is mentioned in Dragonsdawn both as having been a place that supposedly disproved the Hoyle-Wickramansingh Theory (a theory that eventually proved to be true about Thread) and as a colony that requested help from Earth but didn't receive it for 50 years. However, Wind Blossom and Emily both say that Wind Blossom's sister was left "on" Tau Ceti to monitor the genetic work done there and Wind Blossom said the Nathi had bombed Tau Ceti day and night, implying that it was a planet rather than a star or system. In real life, Tau Ceti is a star, which would imply that Cetus III is the planet she lived on and directly led. In Dragonsblood, she is said to be the "governor of Tau Ceti and the heroic leader of Cetus III". In Dragonsdawn, Emily Boll is said to be "the governor-heroine of First Centauri".
Several of the Colonists came from this planet. Kitti Ping Yung and her daughter Wind Blossom lived there as well, and Kitti was famous for developing two symbiotic species (the multichord songbird and the leechworm) that cleaned the terrible radiation left on the planet after the Nathi bombing. It was blockaded by the Nathi during Nathi War for five years, during which it was governed by Emily Boll. 2 Known Personal lived or visited there.
